Our Staff
Joi E. Goodwin, RN, Program Director, joined Special Smiles, Ltd in 2003 as a Registered Nurse and was appointed Program Director in 2006. She is a member of Special Care Dentistry Association and Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. She is also an officer in the United States Army Reserves and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing at Drexel University. Ms. Goodwin has over 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse and is a graduate of Temple University’s School of Nursing. Andrew J. Mramor, DDS, Clinical Director, Staff Dentist, graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2000 and then completed a one-year General Practice Residency in dentistry at Yale University. He has a part-time academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Temple University School of Dentistry in the Department of Periodontology and Oral Implantology. He is a member of the Special Care Dentistry Association and the American Dental Association. Presently, he is serving an 3-year term on the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia County Dental Society. He has committed his career to providing dental services to patients with special needs and/or the medically-complex. Paul Fischer, DMD, Staff Dentist is originally from Northern New Jersey. Following Graduation from Rutgers University he attended Temple University School of Dentistry. During Dental school he was recruited into the United States Air Force. Upon Graduation from Dental School he moved to Washington DC for an Air Force Residency in advanced education in general dentistry. He then spent the following two years on active duty at Patrick AFB, Florida, ensuring military members were dentally qualified for deployment. He later entered reserve status and moved back to the Philadelphia area where shortly thereafter he became a member of the Special Smiles team. |
